Teck Coal Ltd. is facing a massive pollution problem in the Elk Valley, where a metal-like element known as selenium is leaching out of mine sites and collecting in the eggs of fish, frogs and water birds.
Environment Canada has had investigators in the area in southeastern British Columbia collecting samples at mine sites, but Todd Gerhart, a Department of Justice prosecutor, refused to comment on Thursday when asked if charges are being contemplated.

Last night Bank Of Montreal (BMO) had all their windows smashed. This branch was located on 2515 East Hastings Vancouver in so-called British Columbia. BMO was targeted not only because it is a symbol of capitalism but because it banks with Compliance Energy Corporation. They are in the coal industry. They are in the business of destroying the land, the water and the wildlife. After all they are capitalist assholes that don’t care about you or me.

Thursday 8.3.2013 a group of people gathered in front of Finlandia Hall [in Helsinki, Finland] to demonstrate their discontentment against environmental crimes done by Finnish mining company Talvivaara* while the company was having shareholders meeting.
